Sorting & Packing Food

About this opportunity

CityTeam receives generous amounts of food from neighborhood partners and donors. Volunteers help sort and pack it so it is ready for distribution at our CityTeam in the Neighborhood mobile pantries.

Why it matters

The goal is to feed our community with well-balanced, healthy groceries so no family goes hungry. That means preparing enough properly packaged boxes and bags to meet the demand in local low-income neighborhoods.

What to know before you come

• Volunteers must be able to lift 10 to 25 pounds.
• Dress modestly and comfortably, with long pants and closed-toe shoes.
• Please do not bring valuables. There is no secure place to leave belongings.
• Children must be 8 or older to volunteer with a parent. Parent and child each need to register.
