Our building located at 722 Washington Street, originally constructed in 1885, was in dire need of repairs to meet California code standards, enhance the continuity of care across our programs, and meet new needs to serve our community.
Make 722 a home! As we look forward to moving back into our newly renovated building our greatest needs are to furnish the rooms with new bed frames, mattresses, tables, wardrobes, and decorations so each of our 85 men will feel at home. In addition to furnishing the bedrooms, we also want to enhance our gathering spaces where classes, activities, movie nights, and family meetings happen.
These spaces provide an opportunity for fellowship and community. To furnish our gathering spaces we need new couches, tables and chairs, classroom and office furniture, and tech for our career and learning centers.
Through your generous support, we have accomplished seismic retrofitting, upgrading the electrical, adding 4 additional bathrooms, kitchen remodeling, and expanding our learning and career center space. As this renovation is nearing its final stages, we are shifting our focus to prepare the space our men will be moving back into.
