CityTeam House of Grace is a unique program where addicted, abused or homeless
women can rebuild their lives, without being separated from their young children.
It is 12 to 14 month residential program. The women at House of Grace may choose to enter
either a secular or a faith-based program. In either case, the women enroll in classes,
which enable them to complete their high school education. They participate in vocational
and life skills classes and counseling (individual, family, and group counseling), and
attend 12-step meetings. Classes in conflict resolution, codependency, anger management,
parenting and responsibility for one’s action are center to the training.
House of Grace is a community-based model, stressing personal responsibility, shared
goals and support, mentoring, and empowering. It is a place where women are taught how
to join the mainstream of community life so that they can become productive citizens,
supporting themselves, their families and their community.
House of Grace Recovery Program is comprehensive; dealing with the whole person. As
a result, graduates re-enter society with skills, positive attitudes and goals. This
program has proven track record of making a lasting difference in the lives of the
women who have successfully completed the required phases.

| HOW YOU CAN HELP |
We are currently in need of the following supplies to better equip our childcare center. The center provides care for the children of our Recovery Program mothers while they attend required classes. Having these supplies will enable the caregivers to take the children on walks to the park, incorporate art projects, allow the children to enjoy lunch at the same time and give each child a place to take their nap. • Double Strollers
• Classroom Table
• 2 Cribs
• 2 Small Cots for Toddlers
• Crib Sheets & Baby Blankets
• Children's DVDs
Many of the women who come to House of Grace come through our doors with just the clothes on their backs. We would like to provide them with a complete change of clothes and hygiene products. We are in need of all types of donations from brand new under garments to hair bushes, tooth brushes, toothpaste, shampoo and gently used clothes, etc.
Please contact House of Grace if you can help with these needs. sjhouseofgrace@cityteam.org |
