The Heart of the Band
Calling All Youth Groups to Partner with CityTeam This Summer
This summer we are calling on the youth in our community to partner with CityTeam Ministries by participating in The Heart of the Band to help kids in need.
Each year CityTeam distributes over 6,000 backpacks full of supplies to the neediest kids around the Bay Area along with family food boxes. Their parents might be out of work and can’t afford a backpack or maybe they have never had a backpack to carry their books in.
The reason we call this project “The Heart of the Band” is because this project is about youth helping other youth in need. It’s on their hearts to help and we want to give them the tools to make it happen in a fun and different way.
Join In! Your youth group can participate by hosting concert and collecting backpacks and school supplies for CityTeam on the night of the event. You can make announcements about your concert in your Sunday bulletin and ask church members to drive by and drop off their donations during the concert.
