Barefoot and shivering, the young woman stood at
the Mission door. As I looked down at her feet, I
wondered if her shoes had been stolen from her in
the night as she slept on the cold, dangerous street.
"I am so hungry. Could I have something to eat?"
she pleaded.
The upcoming rainy season will bring many more desperate
people to our door needed a plate of food and a place
to dry off. It takes hundreds of meals to feed the
growing number of needy people who seek our help.
But right now our pantry supplies are low. The busy
summer used up much of what we had. We need to restock
the shelves immediately, but we can't do it alone.
Will you help? Your gift can bring hungry people
in from the cold, and offer them a hearty serving
of help for today and hope for tomorrow.
