Volunteer Opportunities
Counselors for Men's recovery program
Kitchen Volunteers
Meal Preparation- Prepare lunch or dinner for our residents and needy families in our community. You would help with the cooking, meal preparation, organizing food donations, washing dishes and meal clean up. Volunteer shifts from 9 AM- 12:30 PM or 1-6 PM.
Drivers- We need drivers to do daily pick-ups of food items from stores supporting our meal program using their own vehicles or CityTeam’s vans. Drivers are needed mornings and/or afternoons Monday thru Saturday and occasionally on Sundays.
Workshop Instructor for Womens Programs
Teach a series of workshops that are education and/or career focused on Fridays from 1-3 PM. Some experience in career counseling or education is preferred. Patience and good communications skills required.
Learning Center Tutor
Volunteer Tutor to assist men in our Recovery Program with basic education needs, such as basic math, reading and computer skills. This is an on-going need on a weekly basis.
Night shelter workers
Volunteer opportunities exist for men to help staff our shelter. We open our doors to the public at 8:00 p.m., and offer a variety of shifts, one or more times a week
8:00-10:30 p.m.
10:30 pm to midnight
Midnight – 7:00 a.m
