Giving Hope Through a Christmas Tradition
Special Thank You to Faith Presbyterian Church for Bringing Hope to the Men's Recovery Program for the Past 15 Christmases!
For over the past 15 years Faith Presbyterian Church of Medford, NJ has adopted our men in CityTeam's recovery program for Christmas. For many of our men in the program, they haven't celebrated Christmas in a long time. These men have been struggling with addiction and homelessness for many years.This past Sunday they had 28 of our men over for a Christmas party where each member of the youth group and their families gave presents to the men at CityTeam. They had a fun night eating and opening presents. The best part of the evening was when two of the men in the program at CityTeam shared their story of how addiction took over their lives and God rescued them.
This evening was so powerful that God even moved a church family to share their struggle with addiction and how it affected each member of the family. It was a touching night of healing for everyone.
