south east asia girlsMany More to Rescue

The girls pictured to the left work on the streets in Asia. On any given street there is an average of sixty girls, ages ranging from fifteen to twenty-seven standing on the corners. They come from all over Asia, their passports are false and their birth dates have been changed by their employer. The majority of them were promised they would be working jobs in restaurants and pubs and never knew they would line the pavement, selling themselves. Now they are trapped.

If you got the opportunity to talk with them you would see they are scared and alone, forced into a life that is a continual, recurring nightmare. Fear fills their eyes, even while talking to you they constantly scan the street on high alert for another possible police raid - always ready to run. Some of the girls are allowed to pray with us, but others are only allowed to talk with clients.

Just trying to imagine what these girls have gone through is heartbreaking. Human trafficking is now the only industry they know, many of these girls have never even had the opportunity to complete secondary school.

We have teams ready to rescue these girls and take them to a place where they can heal and learn about the endless Love God has for each one of them. Your support enables us to provide a safe haven for these damaged girls to find hope, support and learn valuable skills sets that will enable them to earn a fulfilling living. A gift in any ammount will help.

SE Asian GirlOne Night, Two Lives Transformed

Recently, some of our team members were out walking the streets in one of the cities we serve in Southeast Asia and they came across Tini*. Having just 16 years under her belt it was obvious that she was scared and overwhelmed by her circumstances. Like many others, she had been lured into the prostitution industry by the false promise of a stable income for her family. As our team members engaged in conversation with her and showed Tini they cared about her as an actual person, not just an object, she started to pour out her heart explaining how years of family tragedy had lead to her current life on the streets. She shared the heartbreaking story of how her father had died long ago and how her mother had recently suffered a massive stroke, leaving her bedridden and unable to walk.

Lacking any education or job skills she turned to prostitution, which she thought was her only option. After talking with Tini for hours she invited us to come pray for her ill mother.

Without anybody to turn to for help and no source of income Tini knew she and her mother would starve if she did not find work.

By the time we arrived at Tini's home it was well after midnight, but not wanting to miss this “open door” we pressed ahead. After a time of prayer our team witnessed a miracle, as Tina’s mother was able to walk once again. Overcome with joy Tini wanted to know more about this God who had the power to heal her mother and so she started meeting with some of our team members on a regular basis to study the Bible and learn about God.

We were able to connect her with other women who had overcome circumstances similar to hers and Tini began the healing process. Through the support and guidance she found in her new community and more importantly her new found relationship with God, Tini began to find healing and security. Tini is no longer selling herself on the street and has joined one of the ex-prostitute fellowships in her community.  Her mother has testified to the entire community about her miraculous healing and as a result a fellowship or "house church" has now been started in her home.

Because faithful donors like you support our ministry, Tini's life has been transformed and now she is actively seeking out other girls to share her testimony with so that they too can escape a life of bondage.

The results have been amazing! Over the last 7.5 years we have seen the Lord raise up over 16,000 new churches with more than 600,000 new believers in 49 countries spread across 10 regions of the world.

To fulfill our mission in Southeast Asia we are focusing on training local leaders to both launch and sustain disciple making movements. The idea of a “movement” is to start something that can keep going without you. That is why our focus is not just to make disciples, it is to multiply disciple makers.

What we do does not revolve around professionals and programs. It is about giving ordinary people the vision to see that they are at the very center of God’s plan to win the world and then giving them the tools to start multiplying disciple makers where they live. We have a variety of programs focused on meeting the felt needs of the Southeast Asians we serve and introducing them to the Gospel message in a way they can easily understand and receive it in their own culture and community. Read Tini's Story above to learn about our ministry to young women who are trapped in prostitution.
