rescue missionRescue Missions

Well known as a place to get a hot meal, a safe night's sleep and a clean change of clothes, the missions faithfully serve the community by providing temporary emergency care while sharing the gospel with the homeless. At CityTeam International we restore hope, faith and dignity to the homeless who are easily overlooked in our community. Every night our homeless guests are provided with food, a hot shower, toiletries, clean clothes, and a freshly laundered bed. A hot meal is often the first step to helping a homeless person get off the streets.

 

Men's recovery programsMen's Recovery Programs

Because alcoholism and drug addiction are a serious problem among the poor and homeless, CityTeam International operates a comprehensive, long-term residential recovery program. Since its inception in 1983, this innovative program has helped hundreds of men break the bondage of chemical dependency. We take a holistic approach, addressing not only addiction, but psychological, spiritual, educational, and vocational issues as well. The men who come to us for help have hit rock bottom. They come through our doors in poor physical condition, often dirty and underweight from living on the streets and can barely lift their heads from shame. We gladly receive them, rejoicing in our opportunity to surround them with love and acceptance as they strive to obtain sobriety.

family and youth outreachFamily & Youth Outreach*

Poverty often causes basic necessities to become unaffordable luxuries. CityTeam International provides quality used clothing, furniture, and secondhand appliances to needy families. This family ministry also distributes holiday food boxes at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and school supplies to needy children each September. Through a combination of activities, tutoring, leadership development and parent support groups, CityTeam International provides positive alternatives to gangs and drugs. CityTeam International also holds weekly Bible studies in the communities we serve that introduce inner-city families to Christ.

Women's ProgramsWomen's Programs

Our Womens’ programs care for disadvantaged women who find themselves in crisis situations by providing them with basic necessities including food, clothing, diapers and formula for their children and life skills classes.


Our San Jose location has residential programs available for abused, homeless women who are pregnant or are dealing with addictions. Counseling, recovery classes and compassionate care are given to these women who are in desperate need.

 

Church PlantingChurch Planting

Responding to the challenges of our multiethnic society, CityTeam International equips pastors and leaders to expand their ministries. In unchurched communities, CityTeam International helps establish new churches by training leaders in evangelism and discipleship in order to reach their neighborhoods with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.
