A Christmas Message from Pat
Our President, Patrick J. Robertson
Patrick (Pat) J. Robertson has served at Cityteam in various roles since 1972. Founders Lester and Pauline Meyers retired in 1978 and appointed Pat as the Executive Director and later President. In 2002 when Pat read the book Good to Great by Jim Collins he felt God’s leading to refocus the organization specifically on Disciple Making and helping people self-discover from God’s Word the Bible, how they could passionately follow Jesus’ three specific commandments: to love and obey God, love your neighbor, and go make disciples of all the nations. (Matthew 22:37, 22:39, and 28:19).
Today, Cityteam continues to serve people in extreme poverty and helps men and women transform their lives, their families and communities. With the help of volunteers and donors, Cityteam impacts the lives of over 500,000 people in the United States as well as ongoing vital partnerships in 42 other countries around the world. Cityteam trains, equips, coaches and mentors local leaders to launch reproducing Disciple Making Movements. In the past six years, the organization has been blessed to train and equip over 20,000 leaders who have started over 18,000 new churches with over 600,000 new believers around the globe and here in North America. Pat believes that God is calling Cityteam to be a part of fulfilling Matthew 24:14.

In this video, Patrick J. Robertson talks briefly on recent changes regarding the organization's logo, and how it has not affected its ministry to help people struggling in poverty. We're the same mission, but just in a bigger neighborhood.
